How to Reach
✈️ By Air
Pakyong Airport near Gangtok offers limited flight services. The nearest major airport is Bagdogra Airport (West Bengal), about 125 km from Gangtok, with regular flights from major Indian cities. Private taxis and shared cabs are easily available from the airport.
🚆 By Train
Sikkim does not have a major railway station. The nearest railhead is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station in West Bengal, well connected to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, and other major cities. Taxis and buses are available from NJP to Gangtok.
🚌 By Road
Sikkim is well connected by road to Siliguri, Darjeeling, and other parts of West Bengal via National Highway 10. Regular state transport buses, shared jeeps, and private taxis operate between Bagdogra, NJP, Siliguri, and Gangtok. Self-drive road trips are also popular for enjoying the scenic Himalayan landscapes.
